Basic Residential Program
This program is perfect for gaining that extra obedience that is needed inside the house and around the yard, as well as basic on-leash control away from home. This program includes the dog coming and staying with us at our facility for three to four weeks. During his/her stay with us the dog will learn basic commands such as sit, down, heel, come, and place (there is no “stay” because stay is built into all of our commands). During this time we will also work on fixing any behavior problems the dog is having, such as jumping, play biting, aggression, housebreaking, etc.  Once the dog is working well for us he/she goes home and now it is time to train you.  Follow up lessons at the kennel are provided after the dog goes home so that we can make sure that you, the owner, understands what we have done with your dog and how to get the same results from him/her.

Advanced Residential Program
Our advanced residential program is by far the most popular of any of our programs.  This program is designed for the client who wants the freedom of being able to take their dog places with them without the hassle of a leash.  This program involves the same commands as our basic residential program except that during the dog’s last week with us we will teach him/her how to work reliably off-leash.  This offers the client the freedom and security of knowing that their dog can be trusted in more challenging situations.  Follow-up lessons are provided with this program. In addition to achieving off-leash control, this advanced program gives dogs with more serious behavior problems such as aggression or fear the confidence and skills to overcome their issues and become happy and trusted members of the family.

Private Training Lessons
We usually recommend a residential program to prevent and fix problems, but if for some reason a client is not able to leave their dog at our facility we offer private training lessons.  During a training lesson (usually weekly) a command is taught and behavior problems are addressed.  After the lesson the owner is given homework to work on before the next lesson. At the next lesson the dog’s progress is evaluated and a new command is introduced. It is important for the owner to work with their dog everyday between lessons to achieve their obedience goals.

Residential Protection Program
This program involves harnessing your dog’s natural ability to be protective.  This 3 to 4 week program gives you the ability to control your dog’s protective instincts so that you are able to decide when the dogs needs to protect you and when he/she doesn’t.  We will teach the dog how to respond appropriately if you feel there is a threat to protect against.  You are required to show us that you have control over your dog on the leash before we will accept the dog into the protection program.  For this reason we recommend that at least the Basic Residential Program has been completed here at our kennel prior to doing the protection training.  If your dog is already trained by you or another facility you will be required to demonstrate that you do have control over the dog on-leash.

Residential Tracking Program
This program involves evaluating your dog and determining what your tracking needs are. A dog can be taught to track anything whether it is children for fun around the yard or to locate a missing person or criminal.  Please give us a call to learn more about the tracking program, and remember that any breed of dog from a Chihuahua to a Bloodhound can be a successful tracker.

Assistance Dog Program
Our assistance dog program is designed to give people the mobility and freedom that they might not achieve without a four-legged partner.  Individual need is evaluated, and through temperament testing a dog is found to match the tasks that are going to be required of it on a day-to-day basis.  Even though many families already have dogs, it is likely that we will have to find an additional dog that will be suitable for work as an assistance dog.  All of our assistance dogs are taught to be very sociable and responsive in a home environment.  The dogs can be taught anything from turning on and off lights to picking up objects.  Assistance dogs can be any breed and any size.  Give us a call so that we can pick out your dog and start its training.
